Configure whether to enforce the best price
Control whether the system automatically selects the best price by priority and whether users can manually switch price books.
Overview
This switch determines whether a business record must use the best price selected by the system when multiple price books match. It affects both automatic price retrieval and whether sales users can switch to another price book.
Before you start
[!IMPORTANT] - Permissions: You need price management configuration permissions. - Prerequisite: Multiple price books exist, with priorities or a defined match order. - Impact: The switch affects editability in the user interface and the strength of price policy enforcement.
Steps
- Go to Setup > Price Management Configuration.
- Find Enforce the Best Price by Price Book Priority.
- Turn the switch on or off according to enterprise control requirements.
- Save the configuration.

Effect

| Off | The system supplies the default price. Users can switch to another price book according to permissions. |
