Set price book priority
Set a clear order for multiple price books so the system can select one price when several lists match.
Overview
When a customer matches multiple price books, the system uses priority to determine the price source. A smaller sequence number means a higher priority.
Before you start
[!IMPORTANT] - Permissions: You need price book management permissions. - Prerequisite: Multiple usable price books exist. - Impact: Priority changes directly affect prices in multiple business records.
Steps
- Go to the Price Books list page.
- Click Priority in the upper-right corner.
- Review the current price book order.
- Assign consecutive priority numbers to the target price books.
- Save the configuration.

Core rules
- A smaller number means a higher priority.
- Priority numbers cannot repeat.
- Keep priority numbers consecutive.
- You can maintain up to 1,000 price book priorities. For more records, consider using a function.
- Priority meaning:
- For price books with a priority: a smaller number means a higher priority.
- For price books without a priority: a more recent last-modified time means a higher priority.
Relationship with the enforcement switch

Usage guidance
- Set explicit priorities when customer scopes overlap frequently.
- Rank promotional, key-account, and channel prices by business importance.
- Test an order immediately after changing priorities.
Configuration terminology
Use Modified On and Last Modified On when the system resolves unassigned priorities. Confirm the Completion Conditions before saving.
