Configure account authorization
Configure payout authorization and posting authorization for documents that deduct or increase customer fund account balances.
Overview
Account authorization is not a role permission matrix. Payout authorization decides which documents can deduct which fund accounts. Posting authorization decides which documents can post to which fund accounts, the default account, and whether posting is automatic.
❗
-
Customer Fund Account is enabled.
-
Enable advanced capabilities before you use validated deduction.
-
Except Payment and Expense Reimbursement, other Standard Object records do not currently support tenant-created authorization because of data and logic limits.
Steps
Configure payout authorization
- Open account authorization. Review the preset sales order payout authorization and edit which fund accounts an order can deduct.
Validation rules can select only fund accounts that appear in payout authorization. Add more deductible accounts in payout authorization first.
Configure posting authorization
- Create posting authorization. Bind the CRM account name field and amount field, then set the posting account range and default account.
Payment posting accounts are also limited by posting authorization. Edit the payment posting authorization if you need to change the range.
Verification
- A sales order can deduct only fund accounts allowed by payout authorization.
- After initialization, a custom object shows Post to Account and Cancel Posting, and posting creates an income log.
- After automatic posting is enabled, a document in the normal status posts by condition.
