Contract progress configuration

Enable fulfillment progress and configure the metric dimensions, data sources, and display entry points for fulfillment targets.

Overview

Contract Management progress configuration determines which fulfillment metrics users can set for Contracts and which business object the system uses to read execution results.

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: You need system configuration permissions. - Feature requirements: Contract progress management is an advanced module. Authorize or enable it before you begin. - Business preparation: Confirm the business dimensions to assess, such as Products, Product Categories, or Contract Amount. - Data preparation: Confirm whether fulfillment results come from Contracts, Orders, or another target object.

Enable fulfillment progress

  1. Go to System Configuration > In-Sales Management Configuration > Contract-Related Document Configuration. This is the Contract Management > Related Documents configuration entry.
  2. Open the Contract object configuration.
  3. Enable the Fulfillment Progress feature module.
  4. Save the configuration.

  1. Create a rule in the fulfillment progress rule list.
  2. Enter a unique rule name.
  3. Enter a rule description.
  4. Set the rule to Enabled or Disabled.
  5. Save the rule’s basic information.
Only rules whose Enable Status is Enabled take effect. Screenshot: contract progress configuration

Set assessment business dimensions

  1. Open the business dimension settings on the rule editing page.
  2. Select Contract Products, Product Category, or Contract Amount.
  3. Based on the selected metric, provide the required Product, category field, amount field, or currency details.
  4. Save the business dimension settings.
Business dimensions describe the Evaluation Metric. They do not directly restrict the data source for fulfillment results. Screenshot: contract progress configuration

Set the target object and data source

  1. Open the target object configuration on the rule editing page.
  2. Select the business object that contains the data being assessed.
  3. Select the related fields used to calculate the execution result.
  4. Save the target object configuration.
The target object can be the same as the assessment metric or a different object. For example, Contract Amount can be the assessment metric while an Order provides the actual fulfillment data.

  2. Add the Fulfillment Progress module or Tab to the Contract details page.
  3. Save the page layout.
  4. Use a business user account to check the entry on the Contract details page.

Verify the configuration

  1. Open the Contract details page for a test Contract.
  2. Confirm that the page displays the Fulfillment Progress entry.
  3. Add a fulfillment target and set its achievement date.
  4. Add the configured metric items.
  5. Add a checkpoint and save the execution record.
  6. Confirm that users can view the completion status, target comparison, overdue reminders, and checkpoint log.

Revert the configuration

To disable a rule, set its status to Disabled. To hide the entry, remove the Fulfillment Progress module or Tab from the Contract page layout. After the change, use a test Contract to confirm that users can no longer use the disabled capability.

Expected results

  • The Fulfillment Progress feature is enabled.
  • Users can select only configured fulfillment metrics.
  • The system reads execution results from the specified target object.
