Collaborate through interconnected calendars
Arrange training, visits, regular meetings and project communication with upstream and downstream interconnected members.
Before you begin
- The organization has enabled interconnected apps.
- You have permission to create or view calendar events.
- The specific entry point depends on the interconnected app configuration.
Create interconnected calendars upstream
- Open Calendar, a Calendar component, or the event object list.
- Click New Calendar event.
- Select members of the organization or Internet users among the participants.
- Fill in the content, time and reminder.
- Correlate business data and @ interconnect members as needed.
- Submit the event.
Create interconnected calendars downstream
- Enter the calendar event entry in the interconnected app.
- Click New Calendar event.
- Select Internet users or upstream employees among participants.
- Enter the event content, time, and reminder.
- Select Cc Scope as needed.
- Submit the event.
View participant time
When creating or editing an event, select Find a Time. The system shows only the availability of interconnected members, not the event details from the other organization.
This principle is followed when upstream views downstream members and when downstream views upstream employees. The free and busy information is only used to select a time and cannot be used to view the internal calendar event details of the other organization.
View and reply
- View connected calendars in the Calendar app, Calendar component, object list, or Feeds.
- Reply in the calendar event details, or @ connect members.
- Receive reminders via Chats and mobile calendar notifications.
The calendar view displays the interconnect logo for interconnected calendars. Network members can appear among participants, but cannot click to jump to their personal business cards.
Permissions and responsible person rules
- The viewing scope is determined by the participants, sharing scope, feed permissions and calendar event object permissions.
- The creator can edit connected calendars, but other members cannot by default.
- When creating downstream, the external person in charge is the creator; when creating upstream, the creator and person in charge are the same person.
- Interconnected calendars support loop settings. When editing or invalidating, you should choose to affect this or subsequent calendar events.
- There is no independent backend configuration entry for interconnected calendars, and the available scope depends on the enabled interconnected applications and role permissions.
[!NOTE] Office 365 calendar event synchronization does not belong to the interconnected calendars scenario.
[!TIP] If you cannot use some feed forwarding capabilities after opening a new tab in the interconnected app, please return to the tab where you originally opened the interconnected app.
