This page explains how multilingual data is displayed in search results and change history.
Why can I not find a record by searching for the default value shown on the page?
List search uses the field value maintained for the current language. When that language has no translated value, the page may fall back to the default value. The fallback value, however, is not the current-language value and may not return the record in a search.
Add a value for the current language to the target record, then search using that value.
What should I check when change history is still displayed in Chinese?
First determine when the history entry was generated:
- New history entries: Check whether target-language values exist for the employee name, object name, and primary attribute of the business record.
- Existing history entries: Change history preserves the display content at the time of the operation. Switching the user language or adding a translation later does not rewrite historical entries.
If a new entry is still displayed in Chinese, ask an administrator to check the corresponding translation. Maintain object and field names in Object Name Settings or Translation Workbench, employee names in employee management, and business-data fields by enabling multiple languages and adding the appropriate language value.
